Finance for Non-Finance Executives

It is designed as two days and five days modules. He has conducted this course numerous times from the platform of British Counsel, Pakistan. He also conduct it for OXFAM (Pakistan), Army Welfare Trust (AWT), Republic Motors, National Rural Support Programme (NRSP), Oil and Gas Development Corporation (OGDC)  and some other organizations.
Prof. Amanullah Khan also developed Financial Management Manual for NRSP to be used for trainings.               

            Leadership

Programme at NRSP takes place regularly. This is quite popular with many other organizations also.

Art of Thinking and Decision Making

It is a unique course which combines the management concepts of decision making with the psychology of thinking. It helps in understanding the brain as a thinking system and its strengths and weaknesses in decision making function. I conduct this course regularly for the middle and senior management courses at WAPDA Staff College.
This course got conducted for parliamentarians under the auspices of UNDP. The Higher Education Commission sponsored this course for entrepreneurial capacity building of university teachers throughout Pakistan. The course was arranged at Islamabad, Karachi, Faisalabad and Quetta.

Analysis of Financial Statements

            Conducted this course from British Council platform and for some Banks.   

Budgeting

This course was specially developed for OXFAM, Pakistan. A manual, Budgeting for NGOs, was developed and trainings were arranged for OXFAM officials and partner NGOs.

Project Evaluation

This is another popular course. This is included as a module in Finance for Non-Finance Executives. However, it has high demand as an independent module also.                

Some of Prof. Amanullah khan's consultancy work is as follows:

  • Feasibility study of a glass sheet factory, awarded by Planning Division, Government of Pakistan
  • Training programmes on project identification and project appraisal
  • “How to Prepare Financial Analysis,” part of the manual for feasibility study by Louis Berger for Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan. BMG was a subcontractor

“Strengthening the Financial Management System,” a project of Population Welfare Division, Government of Pakistan

  • Preparation of training manual on financial management for the Water and Power Development Authority Academy, Tarbela
  • As a founder member of Business Research Bureau (since January 1979), have been actively involved in the designing and conducting market research for many organisations.
  • As a member Board of Trustees of Centre for Asian Studies, prepared training materials for project evaluation and conducted various trainings.
  • As a founder member of Gallup Pakistan, was responsible for designing and conducting surveys for public opinion.
  • Associate Director, International Migration Project, Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad (June 1979-October 1980). This was a cost benefit study of Pakistanis’ immigration to Middle East, jointly sponsored by the World Bank, Government of Pakistan and PIDE.
  • Sidat Hyder Morshed Associates (Pvt) Ltd, management consultants. Prepared feasibility study for a dairy farm and sheep and goat farm.
  • Wrote a research report, “Accounting and Auditing Systems vis-à-vis Profit-and-Loss Sharing Banking System” for the Working Group on Conduct of PLS Banking, constituted by the International Institute of Islamic Economics, Islamabad in 1986.
  • Have been actively involved in planning of training programmes and conferences organized by the International Institute of Islamic Economics, International Islamic University, Islamabad. 
  • Coordinator for senior officers training programme conducted twice a year by the Institute.
